Network of Open Educational Resources REA CVSP / BVS The Network REA / OER is an initiative of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in cooperation with its Specialized Network Network of Open Educational Resources REA CVSP / BVS The Network REA / OER is an initiative of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in cooperation with its Specialized Center BIREME / PAHO / WHO, and an integral part of the Virtual Campus of Public Health (CVSP) and the Virtual Health Library (VHL). Its purpose is the creation of a Network of Open Educational Resources that allows the production, publication, search and use of learning objects at the level of the Americas region.
Criteria for inclusion of OER in the CVSP
We present the criteria that each OER must meet in order to be published online.
It is in line with the objectives of the CVSP;
It is adapted to an educational learning context;
Explicitly presents your educational goals;
It is reusable: it can be easily contextualized according to the specific needs of the teaching-learning process and it is adaptable to the needs of a particular course, thematic unit or career ;
It is flexible: it can be easily modified and updated;
It is accessible and interoperable: independent of the technologies used and the operating systems (multiplatform);
Use open licenses.
As Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) describe OER?
Training content: complete courses, educational software, content modules, compilations and publications;
Tools: software to develop, use, reuse and deliver training content, including content search and organization, content management and training systems, training tools development of online content and educational communities;
Implementation resources: Intellectual property licenses to promote open publication of materials, design of good practice principles and content translation
